About Me

My Photo
A part time writer and insatiable bookworm, I started this blog with the idea to challenge myself to read more and slim down. Two years in, having read some wonderfully entertaining and thought provoking works and sitting several pounds lighter, I continue to muse about the absurdity of life - mine specifically and the world at large, what inspires surprises and angers me, books and other entertainments, my dogs, my unending struggle to balance healthy self esteem and the desire to lose weight, my travels and any other notion buzzing round in my noggin - all that which makes up the jumbalaya that is life chez MB. Well that’s the plan, anyway...wink.

We Are More

Shane Koyczan's phenomenal poem delivered at the Opening Ceremonies of the Winter Olympics deserves thunderous praise as he strikes a chord in Canadians everywhere, inspiring pride beyond measure.

Shane, you did good!

We made it be!!!!
